Straight Pool (14.1 Continuous) Rules
Also known as 14.1 Continuous, players score points by pocketing any ball. First to reach target score wins.

Balls UsedObjective
Score points by pocketing balls. Each pocketed ball is worth one point. First to reach the predetermined score wins.
Break Rules
- Balls racked in triangle, no specific ball placement required.
- Opening break: cue ball and two object balls must hit cushions.
- Scratch or failure: minus one point and opponent gets ball-in-hand behind head string.
Legal Shot Rules
- Must call ball and pocket.
- When 14 balls are pocketed, they are re-racked leaving the 15th ball and cue ball in position.
- Continue shooting into the fresh rack.
Foul Rules
- Minus one point for each foul.
- Three consecutive fouls: minus 15 points.
- Must drive a ball to rail or pocket a ball.
Win Conditions
- First player to reach the predetermined score (commonly 100 or 150 points).
